Their [Retail Solutions] algorithm was outperforming ours. We tested theirs against ours and found that their system was detecting 5-8X more OOS conditions than we were getting from our algorithm.

On-Shelf Management

Retail Solutions On-Shelf Management is a new, proactive approach that mathematically determines and monitors for the “why” of stock-outs, prescribing specific methods to resolve/prevent their occurrence. With this level of understanding, Retail Solutions not only corrects replenishment models before any issue arise, but also drives interventions directly on the sales floor.

For the past 10 years, reducing out-of-stock (OOS) events has been a priority for CEOs of many CPG companies. Despite all the effort, OOS rates still hover around 8-10%. Both retailers and manufacturers know that resolving this issue is the single and most efficient way to boost sales and gross margin, but the industry still resorts to a reactive, out-dated method to identify and respond to out-of-stocks by tracking zero sales.

Retail Solutions On-Shelf Management solution uses proven, proprietary algorithms, developed through a two-year long analysis of large quantities of retail data, cross-referenced against Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) readings and audit reports, for three of the world’s top five CPG manufacturers. These algorithms provide CPG companies visibility into the root causes of OOS events in order to increase their in-store product availability. This solution is a breakthrough in industry efforts to reduce OOS events evidenced by the fact that most leading CPG companies are adopting it as their standard.
