Retail Solutions History
Retail Solutions’ predecessor company, T3Ci, was founded in 2003 to explore the impact of RFID data on the retail industry. It quickly came to the conclusion that companies committed to utilizing retailer data to drive their operations would require groundbreaking analytics solutions based on new science.
In 2007, T3Ci acquired the VeriSign Retail Data Services business, a retailer-manufacturer data sharing solution provider operating since 1996 on the fundamental principle that understanding consumer demand is the key to retail success. T3Ci was simultaneously renamed Retail Solutions.
The combination of T3Ci’s solutions with the VeriSign Retail Data Services assets propelled Retail Solutions into an uncontested leadership position in its field. Retail Solutions is the only company that offers a full retailer data visibility solution (for both demand data and RFID), along with the broad set of applications needed to realize the value of this data across the retail and consumer goods industries.
It is Retail Solutions’ vision that the increased availability of retail data (such as POS, inventory, EPC, merchandiser feedback, customer loyalty and many other types of downstream data) fuels new opportunities, new value propositions and more effective collaborative processes between consumer goods companies and retailers.
