Shantha Mohan is the Senior Vice President, responsible for Engineering, and co founder of Retail Solutions.
Shantha has over 20 years of experience in operations management and software product design and management, focusing on mission-critical systems to support semiconductor and other high value added manufacturing.
At Consilium, now part of Applied Materials, Shantha managed the development of three generations of Manufacturing Execution Systems. Such software systems are mission-critical, highly scalable and highly available systems and companies such as Intel and Infineon depend upon them for their manufacturing. At the core of such systems is a multi-level tracking and genealogy database and applications that leverage the data. Shantha is a world-renowned expert in this field.
Shantha has also consulted for a number of companies in the semiconductor and e-commerce domains in technology and software product management. As a Consulting Professor at Carnegie Mellon University's West Coast campus, she developed the System of Systems certificate for the Management of Software Systems Development program.
Shantha holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Operations Management from Carnegie Mellon’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration in Pittsburgh, PA, and a B.E. with Honors in Electronics & Communication from University of Madras, India.
