Peter Rieman

Peter Rieman is the Executive VP and co-founder of Retail Solutions.
He has 20 years of management experience in the communications and computer software markets. Peter started his career at the strategy practice of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Upon leaving BCG he joined Granger Associates, where he had profit/loss (P/L) responsibility for its successful international digital transmission business. DSC acquired Granger Associates for $320 million.
At Consilium, now a part of Applied Materials, Peter was Division Vice President with P/L responsibility for the Workstream MES product aimed at the semiconductor and Aerospace & Defense markets. Under Peter's leadership, Consilium significantly expanded its Asian business and its business partnerships while transforming the product to UNIX and SQL.
More recently, Peter managed the US expansion at Esker SA, a French software company that went public in 1997. He built the US business through acquisitions of four companies and two products. The results of these acquisitions today constitute over 70% of revenues.
Peter holds an M.S.M.E. from Chalmers University in Sweden and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
